Diana and Andre Wedding – July 24, 2010

This Saturday wedding started our rather rainy. We arrived at 9:30 at the Wyndham in Glenview where the groom was getting ready, only to find out that the entire hotel lost power. The burned out generator sent clouds of smoke throughout the entire lobby and Atrium. This atmosphere actually contributed to a lot to the great photos of that part of the day by giving them a misty look. All purely accidental.

Formals started out in The Glenn, but then quickly moved indoors to escape the extreme heat and humidity. As we made our way through Von Maur, we got lots of curious looks and questions – this was the first time we shot a wedding inside a department store. We then moved to a nearby Harley-Davidson dealership where we got our best shots. The combination with raw ruggedness and elegant beauty of the bride enhanced every shot.

The ceremony and reception were held at Astoria Banquets. With it’s posh decor and a seafood banquet style dining, this was the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day.
